Dr. Mac-Anthony is an Information Scientist, Professional Librarian, Researcher, Lecturer, Author and Consultant with 24 years’ experience in Research and Academic Environment. He holds a PhD in Information Science, MBA in Human Resource Management, MA in Library Studies, Bachelor of Arts History and Archaeology and a Certificate in Scientific Information Management. He is currently the University Librarian for the University of Cape Coast, before joining UCC, He was the Librarian at the Methodist University Ghana (2005 to 2017) and a Librarian for CSIR- Institute of Scientific and Technological Information (1998-2005). Dr Cobblah is also the Chair for the Governing Council of the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Ghana (CARLIGH) and Vice President of the Africa Library Associations and Institutions (AfLIA) as well as a Licensing Coordinator for EIFL. He was also a Chair for Academic Libraries and Library Consortia Section of the Africa Library Associations and Institutions (AfLIA) and a former Country Coordinator for International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP).
Dr Cobblah has thought several courses including Electronic Business, Management Information System, Records Management, Information organisation and indigeneous knowledge management. His main areas of interest are Electronic information management, digital scholarly communication, strategic Library management and sustainable research using open science.
He has over 24 publications (Books, Chapters in Books, Reviewed and Conference papers) to his credit. He has been a Consultant for many organisations in Ghana including SSNIT (2010), the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) (2012), the Bank of Ghana (2012 and 2016), Heritage Christian College (2016- to date) and ECG Training School (2018). He is a reviewer and editor for several International Journals in his field of specialisation.
Dr Cobblah has participated and presented papers at several international conferences in the UK, USA, Belgium, Germany, Netherland, Kenya, Denmarks, Ethiopia, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, Egypt, Namibia etc.
